Thank you for choosing us for your safe deposit box rental needs. We strive to provide you with excellent service and ensure the security of your belongings. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds for our safe deposit box rental services. Please read this policy carefully before renting a safe deposit box.

  1. Unused Rentals: We regret to inform you that we do not offer refunds for unused safe deposit box rentals. Once a rental agreement has been initiated, the fees associated with the rental are non-refundable. This includes cases where the customer decides to terminate the rental before the agreed-upon rental period ends.

  2. Key Deposit: We require a refundable key deposit of £100. This deposit is separate from the rental fees and serves as a security measure to ensure the return of the keys. The following conditions apply to the key deposit:

    a. Return of Original Keys: To be eligible for a refund of the key deposit, both original keys provided at the time of rental must be returned to us in satisfactory condition. Keys that are damaged, lost, or not returned will result in the forfeiture of the key deposit.

    b. Account Closure: The key deposit refund will only be processed upon the closure of your safe deposit box rental account. Account closure involves removing all items from the rented safe deposit box, returning both original keys, and settling any outstanding fees or charges.

  3. Refund Processing: Once your safe deposit box rental account has been closed, and we have received both original keys in satisfactory condition, we will initiate the refund process for the key deposit. Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during the rental agreement, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.

  4. Timeframe for Refunds: We aim to process key deposit refunds within 14 working days from the date of account closure and receipt of both original keys. However, please note that the actual refund processing time may vary depending on external factors such as banking processes or administrative requirements.

  5. Forfeiture of Key Deposit: In cases where one or both original keys are not returned, damaged, or lost, the £100 key deposit will be forfeited. We reserve the right to deduct any outstanding fees, charges, or costs associated with the rental from the key deposit before initiating any refund.

We want to remind our valued customers that key duplication is strictly prohibited and any attempt to copy our keys or present a copied key will result in severe consequences, including legal action.   1. Ownership of Keys: The keys provided for our safe deposit boxes are the exclusive property of Aegis Vaults Ltd. They are designed to maintain the highest level of security for your rented box. We entrust you with the responsibility of safeguarding these keys during your rental period.

  2. Prohibition of Key Duplication: Copying or reproducing the keys provided by Aegis Vaults Ltd is strictly forbidden. This policy ensures that only authorized individuals have access to the rented safe deposit boxes, minimizing any potential security risks. We take key duplication very seriously to maintain the confidentiality and protection of all our customers' belongings.

  3. Consequences of Key Duplication: If we discover that a key has been duplicated or a copied key has been presented to us, we will initiate immediate legal action. This includes reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, as per Section 5 of our refund policy, any keys found to be copied will result in the forfeiture of your Key Deposit.
